Resurfacing the Trail - Board meeting March 31, 2009 recap
|
City council elections will be held May 9th. Two positions are up for vote. More information can be found here.
In addition, the board as agreed to resurface the hike and bike trail near the park with fresh crushed and decomposed granite. We ask that anyone who notices vandals loitering near the fence, especially with cutters, please call the police immediately. We would like to encourage a safe environment at the park for our young residents and the hike and bike trail for everyone.
Lastly, the board hopes to inform everyone of the upcoming Easter Egg Hunt and Neighborhood Garage Sale (information listed below).

On Saturday April 11th 2009 Springbrook Glen residents can celebrate Easter in the Park. The festivities will be from 11:00a to noon. There will be an Easter Egg hunt for all kids. The 4 and younger crowd will hunt on the hill while the older kids will hunt in grassy areas and trees around around the play set. We hope to see you all there.
Parents, we have nearly 400 eggs to stuff and hide. If you plan to attend and/or would like to help out, please contact either Mary Esther Garza or Socorro Valdez . We also would like to request volunteers to help with crowd control to keep the groups separate.
The Pflugerville Easter Pfestival will be held April 4 at Heritage Park with an Easter Egg hunt from 10a-12p. A great family event featuring an Easter Egg Hunt, Free Pictures with the Easter Bunny, Pony Rides, Petting Zoo, Kidde Train, Moonwalk, and a Clown doing balloon shapes !
FREE TO THE PUBLIC RAIN OR SHINE!
In the event of rain, the egg hunt will be moved inside the Green Red Barn at the same location.

Meeting Wrapup
|
|
The meeting was quite short because few residents came who were not affiliated with the board or various committees. The main business was to elect two new board members. We welcome back Mary Esther Garza who will return as president and our newest board member, Selina Villarreal, who will be the assistant secretary. The rest of the meeting was short and sweet.
After the annual meeting, the board decided on monthly meeting times. In general they are every odd month (Jan, Mar, etc) on the third Tuesday. We also talked about the Pflugerville Drop by Drop program. Information is available online and they are already accepting rebate forms for 2009. Added this year are 30 gal rain barrels. For most plants you get 50% back in rebates if you follow their guide.
